Library card holders in York County have virtual movie tickets thanks to MyLibraryDV, a revolutionary new digital content service that provides free, downloadable Hollywood movies, network and cable TV programming and original digital video content right to their personal computers, 24/7.
The service offers a stunning retrospective of over 300 of the greatest movies ever made from 1930 to 2005, from some of the world’s top studios and distributors. Download Academy Award-winning and nominated movies including On the Waterfront, contemporary hits such as Men in Black, and family films like The Jungle Book. Also available is lifestyle and TV programming about cooking, travel, home improvement, health, literature, and much more, as well as beloved British television shows.

Progressive download technology allows for fast, easy-viewing video almost immediately. Card holders may “check out” one feature film per 24-hour period, which begins when you press “play.” Other programming has a seven-day checkout period. After these periods expire, the content is automatically deleted from the computer.
All card holders need to do to access MyLibraryDV is to install the download manager. Once MyLibraryDV is installed, follow the instructions to view the variety of free content!
All you need for this FREE service is a York County Library account in good standing and high-speed Internet access. My Library DV is not available on Library computers and requires Windows Media Player 10 or above.
