About

Mission

The mission of the York County Library is to enrich and sustain the lives of the people of York County by providing library services that meet their informational, recreational, and lifelong learning needs.

Your Community Link

With a Main Library in Rock Hill, four branches, online digital branch, and outreach program, York County Library is a dedicated resource for education, recreation, and exploration for the residents and communities of York County.

As we continue to reconnect and recommit ourselves to meeting the needs of all library patrons, we have embraced the idea of "YCL" as a hub for learning, resources, materials, unique experiences, and most importantly, community.

What does that mean? YCL is your free connection to books, story times, homework help, genealogy, local history, digital content, and so much more. At YCL, we aren’t just another public library. We are Your Community Link.
