Library Lockers

24-Hour Pickup Service

Library Lockers are a remote locker service that provides all York County Library cardholders with a convenient, contactless pickup option for checking out items they have placed on hold. These lockers, located at all 5 library locations, are available for 24/7 access, even when the library is closed.

How the Lockers Work
Log in to your library account and search the online catalog to find and place holds on the items you want to check out. When placing your holds, select a Library Locker pickup location, then wait to receive an email, text, or phone call notifying you when your items are ready. Items will be held for seven days.

To pick up your items, visit your designated Library Locker and scan your library card or enter your card number at the touchscreen. Follow the onscreen instructions to open the assigned locker door(s) and retrieve your materials. You will receive an email receipt with the due dates for your items.

Important Things to Remember

  • Lockers are only available for picking up holds and cannot be used for other purposes such as paying fines or returning items. Please use the outdoor book drops or return your materials inside at the checkout desk.

  • A current York County Library card in good standing is required to use the Library Lockers. You must also have a valid email address associated with your library account to receive a receipt. Paper receipts are not available for locker pickups.

  • Some items are unavailable for locker pickup, such as Interlibrary Loans, Mobile HotSpots or certain oversized materials.

  • If you need help checking out or picking up your items, please ask a staff member or call your local library location during opening hours. You may also email the Library for assistance.
